Michael Moore crowned “Better than the alternative”.

Collecting Award It was a proud moment for the American Documentary maker Michael Moore this week when he was awarded a prestigious honour, the “better than the alternative award” by a governing body representing the People of America.

The award recognizes those who have achieved, something, and who the world would be a slightly worse place without.

“Yeah he’s not perfect, but he is definitely better than the alternative, probably” said Doug Samson the groups spokesman about the Director. “Sure 70% of all the statistics for Sicko fell directly out of his ass, but at least it started a conversation about the American Medical System.” he added. Michael was unreachable for comment but was said to have been “flattered” and grateful that “all the hard work I’ve put in, misreporting and making up lies to uncover those already lying has been worth it”.

david-hasselhoff-07.jpgPrevious winners of this prestigious award have included David Hasselhoff for the song “chimes of freedom” which could, maybe, have possibly contributed in some way to the falling of the Berlin Wall, perhaps. The award is designed to credit those that although not exactly the solution, they are also not exactly the problem.

In order to further his crusade against “stuff that’s wrong”, he has released a tool on his website called “the Moor-on-tron” which enables anyone to make their own Michael Moore style documentary. First users must pick from an area of American Life so wrong, “only an idiot couldn’t make people care about it” such as Immigration, Obesity, Capitalism, Walmart, American Idol, Fanny Packs, then select a sentiment level ranging from “make ‘em think” right up to “chimes of freedom”. All that’s left is pulling the “Moor-on-tron heart string”, paying $29.95 to Mr Moores “new glasses and cap fund” and the video is ready in just a matter of minutes.

Rad-ish tried this tool, selecting “Immigration” and raising the sentiment to the max. A few minutes later we received “MexiCAN” a heart wrenching one hour and 20minute epic about the American Governments handling of Mexican Immigrants. Along with the usual mix of photo montages, moving personal tributes, fudged data, American Flag fade outs, the movies climax was an incredibly powerful speciallyhat_n_cap.jpg adapted version of Bruce Springsteen’s patriotic classic “Born in the USA” entitled “Should have been Born in the USA” performed by immigrants with a few dozen homeless, disabled or substance dependent thrown in for good measure, all supported by an all black gospel choir. After watching it, there was not a dry eye in the house. It certainly made us think, about things we already knew were totally fucked up” said a member of the rad-ish team.

Michael Moore and all those a little better than the alternative, rad-ish salutes you.
